The Jefferson County High School Concert Ensembles provides students a continuation of their music education from middle school and high school.

NEW FOR FALL 2026: a fall concert band class will be offered to all students who do not wish to participate in marching band.

For our marching band class, concert band will start upon the conclusion of marching season (end of October/beginning of November) during fourth period. Students will mainly focus on preparing for our winter concert in December.

In the spring, the band program will split into two groups traditionally offered during second and fourth periods. The Symphonic Band meets during second period and is available to sophomores, juniors, and seniors by audition only. The Concert Band meets during fourth period and is available to all grade levels with no audition. Music is hand-picked to challenge all members with a focus on growth for both ensembles.

Both groups perform on multiple concerts as well as state assessment events in the spring.
