The Jefferson County High School Jazz Band is an extracurricular ensemble that meets each Wednesday from 3:30-5:00. Jazz band provides students a continuation of their music education that delves deeper into improvisation and music theory.

Students will have the opportunity to learn improv, swing, and other styles of jazz music. Students will also have the opportunity to audition for All-East Jazz, as well as All-State Jazz.

Students are able to participate in jazz band regardless of instrument--we can make it work! Additionally, if students play a secondary instrument (guitar, etc.) they are welcome to play this in jazz.
